Could Delayed Periods With Heavy Bleeding Be A Sign Of Miscarriage?

my period was delayed for an exact one month.i had my test but result wasn't clear or I was in denial - my interpretation though was, its POSITIVE...had clotting but ignored it...3days later, i had my period but was so strange coz its massive and lasted for 9days... never had OB check...I suspect myself to had a miscarriage...am I safe now that the "period" is over? if i did have a miscarriage and didnt get D&C, am i going to be in danger? so worried but afraid to have a check
