Could Diagnosed Hypothyroid Be The Cause For Hyper Gastric Problems?
Hi, i got diagnosed with hypothyroid today. This was discovered as a part of blood tests performed to evaluate the problem related to my hyper gastric(bloating, abdominal pains) problems. I have also been diagnosed with B12 deficiency a year back. Is the hypothyroid the root cause for my gastric problems ?
Constipation and loss of appetite is common in hypothyroidism. When food intake is less, increased hcl in the stomach leads to the gastric mucosa irritation, burning sensation, leading to acute gastritis. Some times bloating of the stomach is experienced. When hypothyroidism is treated , all these problems will be resolved.
