Hi, I had a tracheotomy at age 10 due to collapsed lungs from a house fire, now 50 having trouble swallowing, feels like a lump is in my throat and constant cough, food won t go down, feels like its stops at my adams apple....Getting a endoscopy next week, just nervous was wondering if I had anything to do with my trac

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
You had tracheotomy 40 years back, and so far you are comfortable.It may not be related to the present symptoms.
The present symptoms cough, lump feeling,trouble in swallowing,etc may be due to the laryngitis, or some growth around the esophagus.
Don't worry the cause may be related to the trachiotomy, tissues, out side esophagus, or some infection of the larynx.
