Could Discoloration And Itching In Clitoris Be Hormonal Changes?

I m 45, and have not been sexually active in 4 years, recently my clitorius hood is itchy and pale white on one side of it. I don t have a yeast infection and it just itches on that one side. It s also seems to have more skin or maybe loser skin than before. I know as I age, my body changes but what could cause this discolaration and itching. Oh and I do not masterbate, I ve cleaned it very good, making sure it s not toilet paper or hair irritating. I have been using vagisil vaginal cleanser because I sweat and it seem like I have odor more, not foul but from pouring sweat from menapause? Could it be harmonal? I had a hysto 12 years ago although my lab didn t show I m menapausal, something harmonal seems to be going on. I was dx with Hypothyroism then because my synthroid was putting me to sleep I stop taking for 2 months And my Tsh, t4, t3 was normal. What s happening to me and why does the clit and hood itch so bad? And and it seem swollen like it use to be when I had been sexually active but I haven t done anything excessive to touch or itch it? Help?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that at that age there might be having some low estrogen level might cause atrophic changes in vagina producing dry vagina and itching and some discoloration of local part.
having hypothyroid might have some contributing factor as well.
Consult Gynaec and get examined.
some hormonal replacement therapy might give relief from your problem.
Ok and take care.
