Could Dizzy Spells Be Due To Over Dosage Of Blood Pressure Medications?

I used to have really high blood pressure and I am being treated with 5 mgs of norvasc and forty milligrams of lisinopril. My pressure is around 110/ 75 and the doctor wants to cut dose I. Half. I am nervous my pressure will spike back up. Doctor says not much of a difference in dose but this way I won t get the spinning feeling when I get up quickly. He thinks I am over medicated. Wondering your opinion.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is understandable but because your blood pressure is completely within normal range, it is possible that it may still remain normal.

Even if it does increase to abnormal levels, there would not be any acute serious complications from the increase. High blood pressure causes long term complications but would not cause short term damage.

I hope this helps
