Could Dizzy Spells Post Intercourse While On SSRI Indicate Low Blood Sugar?

I m a 23 year old female, only taking birth control, an ssri, and occasionally Xanax. I recently had sinus issues with both Eustachian tubes, but recently cleared up before sexual activity using sudafed and netti pot. After recent sexual activity, I had random dizzy spells. A smoothie made if fruit and nuts helped. Is this normal? Low blood sugar?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

At your case, as the dizzy spell was after sexual activity, we should rule out possible pregnancy. So, if your periods were delayed, take the pregnancy test. If not delayed, just check blood pressure and blood sugar levels, and record the results for reference. You can send them to me anytime. Meanwhile, keep well hydrated.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
