Could Dry Cough, Chest And Back Pain Be Due To Pulled Muscles?
I just got over an upper respiratory infection about 2 weeks ago. I now have a dry cough. When I cough or sneeze, I have a horrible pain through my chest to my back. It hurts when I lay flat on my back (resembles the pressure I felt when I had my breast lift/augmentation) I had x-rays taken yesterday. All was clear. Could this really be pulled muscles as the doctor stated?

Could Dry Cough, Chest And Back Pain Be Due To Pulled Muscles?
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic Persistent coughing can be associated with mild injury of some of the muscles in the chest. The dry cough can persist for sometimes up to 6 weeks after an upper respiratory tract infection. You can consider the use of an anti inflammatory pain killer and cough suppressant to help relieve your symptoms. I hope this helps
