Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Dry, tickly throat with a cough after drinking cold water could be pharyngitis. My advice are :
- Do warm saline gargles 3-4 times a day. - Avoid spicy and heavy meals. - Take steam inhalation on daily basis. - Eat at least one hour before going to bed. - Take Benadryl for allergy.
Consult ENT specialist once for proper evaluation and treatment. The doctor may order a throat swab test or blood test . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics or antiviral depending upon your condition.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
