Could Edema In Ankles And Lower Legs Be Due To Amlodipine?

My wife is taking amlodipine 10mg as treatment for high blood pressure. Also Betahistine 16 mg twice a day as treatment for Vertigo. She is now suffering from oedema in the ankles and lower legs. We know this is side effect of amlodipine. Is it anything to worry about? Will the swelling subside after a while or should she use a diuretic? Thanks.
