Could Elevated IgA Level And Low M Spike Level Indicate Multiple Myeloma While With A History Of Low Iron Saturation?

I received an abnormal blood test with an IgA level of 1200 and an Mspike of 0.6. I cannot get in to see a hemetologist for 5 weeks. I am so scared that I have multiple myeloma or something else terrible. All my other bloodwork come back normal. Normal kidney function, normal CBC panel, no elevated calcium. I have alway had a problem with iron saturation and take iron pills for that

Hello,

A mild degree of M spike (monoclonal spike) can be found in healthy individuals and in the absence of other sign and symptoms and normal lab work, it does not justify a diagnosis of myeloma. Hence, there is nothing to worry.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
