Could Elevated Cholesterol Levels Mean The Heart At Risk?
I received the results of my blood work today. My total cholesterol is 263 (LDL 180, HDL 44, and triglycerides 195). I see that normal values for cholesterol are 100-199. A note was on my paperwork that they would like to start me on Lipitor. I don t want to panic, but I am somewhat concerned. I am only 44, so how badly am I at risk for heart disease, heart attack, or stroke?
As per your reports your total cholestrerol is higher than normal limit. Higher cholesterol is a bad sign for heart obviously. As higher cholesterol indicated that cholesterol get deposited in blood veins and causing blood vessels to constrict and causing decrease blood supply to heart and other vital organs. So you sholud avoid fatty n oily diet, start regular walking and consult your family physician to do reports further for heart functions. Like ecg, echo n etc if needed. Get well soon...
