Could Erectile Dysfunction Be Related To A Previous Deep Cut In The Neck That Had Lead To Excessive Blood Loss?

Hi doctor, my future husband got chopped in his neck on the 13th of August, 2016. He alarmingly lost a lot of blood. The blood loss was extreme. The chop was 11 inches long and 6 inches deep. After the horrible incident. I have recently realised that he has been having problems getting an erection. What may be the cause of this? Will this be permanent? He is just 23 years old.
