Could Excessive Intake Of Vitamin D Cause Night Sweats?

I have excessive night sweats. Are these due to excessive intake of Vitamin D? My fingernails grow slowly and peel almost to the quick. Is this a reaction to excessive intake of Vit D? I have been taking 5000 IU for the past 3 months. If I take only 2000 IU, my Vit D level is insufficient. It seems I have an absorption issue as well as a negative reaction to Vit D dosage.

thank you for posting your query in healthcaremagic.com....

see excess night sweats are rare in vitamin d intoxication or hypervitaminosis d...dehydration, vomiting, constipation and weakness are common...
and 4000IU per day is the tolerable limit for vitamin d dosage....

so i would suggest you to consult your doctor....and get a serum vitamin d level as well as serum calcium done....also take low calcium diet...

get back for further queries...
hope this was helpful...
