Could Exposure To Diesel Cause Slight Pain In Lower Abdomen While Coughing?

For the past few months it seems that my lower abdomen has a slight pain and almost bursting feeling only when i cough? I work outdoors in extreme heat and use large amounts of diesel fuel in a spray bottle could this be some form of diesel poisoning?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The pain in lower abdomen while coughing may be a symptom of underlying abdomen or inguinal hernia in usual cases. However, there is no indication of Diesel poisoning in any form at this point of time. In my clinic, after thorough clinical examination, I do recommend a need of an ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
