Could Extreme Fatigue, Hot Flashes And Night Sweats Indicate Perimenopause?

Hi. I'm a 40 yr old female. Lately my fatigue is almost paralizing. Usually I can push through but just can seem to now. I had hot flashes a couple days ago, I still have periods. I've had night sweats for about the last year. I've also noticed BO under one armpit right after showering.

I'm assuming I may be peri menopausal??

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello ma'am and welcome.

The hot flashes and sweats could most probably be related to the soon-approaching menopause, and is most probably associated with pre-menopause.

The exhaustion you are experiencing could also be due to a hormonal imbalance, or vitamin deficiencies, or even anaemia. I would recommend an elaborate physical and blood profile with your doctor. Please schedule an appointment with your doctor at the earliest.

Best wishes.
