Could Faint Line On The Pregnancy Test Strip Be Indicative Of Pregnancy?

Hi. I m an 18 year old. I had my period very recently. in fact it just ended yesterday. I had sex during that time on my period. But on taking a prega news test, twice, I got one very dark line and a one very very faint line. It s so faint that it s hardly pink. Am I pregnant?

Hello,

Faint line on pregnancy test kit doesn't mean you are pregnant. As it's equivocal, you may have to undergo a blood HCG test to confirm if you are pregnant or not. In my opinion, you can't be pregnant as you had sex during the periods time. So you don't need to be worried.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
