Could Faint Pink Lines In HPT Post Abortion Followed By Having Sex Indicate Pregnancy?

I had an abortion 2 weeks and 3 days ago. My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex several times in the past week. I took a pregnancy test last night and it came back positive. One line very very dark and the other is not faint but it s not really dark either. Could this be a new pregnancy?

Hi,

Post abortal unprotected sex can cause pregnancy but it does not show in pregnancy test so early. It needs at least three weeks to get positive pregnancy test after conception (ideally 8 days after expected day of periods). So the test you have positive so early after sex is likely to be false positive, may be due to contaminated urine sample.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
