Could Foamy Urine Be Due To Levofloxacin?

Yes. My husband is on Levofloxacin and noticed that his urine is foamy. Could the med. cause this. He is not on any other meds. Has been on 800mg. ibuprophen two days ago at hosp. Also, he has been taking natural supplements only. Are there supplements he should not take while on this med.? Thank you.

Hi, I did review your concern
Levofloxacin generally does not cause foamy urine. However indirectly any drug can cause foamy urine if there are bile salts excreted in urine. My advice would be to do a urine biochemical analysis for any abnormal substance. Morever, about the natural supplements can you provide more information as to which ingredients he is taking. I would not recommend ibuprofen for longer periods of time since it can damage kidneys
I hope this helps
wish your family great health
