Could Geographic Tongue And White Lips Be Related To Removal Of Thyroid By Parathyroid Surgery?

I had parathyroid surgery and had one removed. My lips always look white to me. Is this related. My calcium levels are fine and have been for a while. I just had another scan of my other parathyroids and all is well. What is up with my lips. I have this on and off for at least 5 years now. I also have geographic tongue. Any relation with any of this?

Hi,
Geographic tongue is a variation from normality and has got no significance, nor it is related to any specific disease.
Your pale lips could be due to anemia as you say your calcium levels are normal. Get your hemoglobin checked and if it is normal, stop worrying .
Hope this helps.
