Could Getting Hurt In Thumb Cause Twitching Thumb?

hi my thumb has been twitching all day i know its not a biig deal but just to be sure i would like to no what i can do to stop it and why it may have happend. i am a young lady so dodnt think it would be parkinsons. i played netball the other day and i hurt my thumb which is twitching and i have had it for 4 days now. can you help?
