Could Giving Birth While Having Tumor In The Brain Be A Matter Of Concern?
Hi I have acromegaly, and recently had most of the tumor removed, but I was not diagnosed until after I had my daughter, is there any concerns I should have for her? My GH level was double the high at 798 9 months post birth, and was always high (like milutiples) during pregnancy! Plus I breast fed until the tumor was found in a full MRI of my back, I was lucky that they found it! My brain surgeon suspects that I had the tumor for 10-12years, I only had slight visual characteristics, hence the reason of being misdiagnosed for so long. I m very concerned for what this means for my daughter!
Hi,your concern is right.Any entity in parents may or. may not have genetic impact on siblings, so also yours. But it di not indicate that your child will suffer, child may not suffer also.Second thing your tumour is of long standing, so not life threatening, neither disabling. There for other then to be conscious, not to worry much.
