Could Gurgling Sound From Chest While Breathing Indicate Bronchitis?

I had a cold about a few days ago that has went away. However when I awoke this morning, I found that when I breathe deeply out, I feel a gurgling deep in my chest. I ve had this before and it lead to Bronchitis, how can I avoid this from happening again?

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

There is no specific method to avoid bronchitis. It is possible if you are already noting a 'wetness' on your chest then it may already be developing.

Using a mucolytic to help break up the mucus would help eg bisolvan, mucomyst, guaifenesin
These should be available over the counter

Fluids , to help reduce thickness, may also help.

If it progresses then you may need to see your doctor.

I hope this helps
