Could Hernia Repair By Laparoscopic Surgery Cause Long Term Impotence?

I am scheduled to meet with a surgeon this coming monday for possible hernia repair. The medical site advertised laparoscopic surgery under local anethesia, etc. However, I AM very concerned about long term impotence. what is the danger of becoming impotent ?
