Hello
High cholesterol ( mild degree , normal range 160 - 220 mg ) is of no value in young adults .
Now for second question I would like to say that E S R level 68 mm 1st hour is very very high (
Now I want to make clear that old doctors like me take notice of E S R and if it is very high as in your wife case ( particularly when she had cough that too from last two months ) , may be due to some chronic infection .
In my clinic I advise my patient get in an X ray of chest at once if E S R is very high and patient have cough .
This high E SR may be due to tuberculosis , so also get in sputum examination.
2nd reason of high E SR may be due to bronchiectasis because this is also a chronic infectious disease.
So move as advised by your doctor.
Consult your treating physician and take proper treatment.
Good luck.
