Could High Amount Of WBC Cause Trichomoniasis As Shown In Pap Smear?
I went to get a pap smear about a week ago and i was told that i may have trich due to the high amount of white blood cells , i have one sexual partner and he said that he did not cheat , i got tested for chlymidia, syphillis and gohnorrhea in february and the results came back negative, although i use tampons and left one in for too long last month could this be a staph infection.
Increased number of white blood cells on pap smear indicate infection. It can be an indirect indication of presence of trichomonas infection. I suggest you to take anti-microbial treatment against trichomonas and observe for disappearance of symptoms.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
