Could Inhalation Of Plastic Fumes Be Harmful To Lungs?

I accidentally forgot a pot of baby bottles and milk pump parts that I boiled on a pot and woke up to them melted. The house was smokey and smelled awful. Is this harmful to our lungs (especially the babie s)? His room smelled not as bad and I drove him to sleep at my mother s just in case, but I m still worried that the chemicals in the plastic are toxic.

Hi,

Yes, if babies have runny nose, chest sounds, irritable crying, then should be checked by pediatrician after this incident. Once doctor auscultate and check oxygen saturation then should be bring back home.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
