Could Irregular Heart Beats With A Pulse Of 49 Be A Matter Of Concern?
Hi, I am 77 years old with a history of heart problems. I had a heart attack in 2007 and a stent was placed in the circumflex artery. in 2008 I had to have an atrial ablation. I take plavix, aspirin, diovan and bystolic and nifridpine. I have had a lot of angina recently and occasionally I have arrythmias, but this evening, the arrythmias are persistent and it makes me feel weak. My blood pressure machine records irregular heartbeats and it has shown that all evening. My last blood pressure was 134/54 with a pulse of 49. Should I be concerned?
Hai, As your arrhythmia and low heart rate(49) should be addressed. As your frequency of irregular heart beat and low heart rate indicates abnormality. as from your past history it seems to be conduction defect because of block in blood vessel of heart. kindly take ECG and get an opinion from your cardiologist.treat as emergency as well.
