Could Irregular Menstrual Bleeding And Abdominal Pain Be Due To Lemon Juice?

I fell very sick on the second day of my cycle which started on the 8th of June. I am 36 yrs old, married and I have been trying for a baby for 9yrs now(got married in 2006). I was diagnosed of PCOS and I went tru so many treatments and therapies with no significant success. I became fed up decided to pause all treatments and medications because I reasoned I had consummed too much drugs and felt so toxicated. Then I decided to go online and search for natural ways to detoxify my system and I read on the internet (could provide the link if u want) about the benefits of lemon juice in warm water twice daily(first and last thing in the day) could restore one s hormonal issues. This fruit was highly praised on this site as a wonder fruit for women with fertility issues. Well, I decided to give it a try and have been on this warm lemon water drink for about a week before the onset of my new cycle and continued on this drink on the 1st and 2nd day of my new cycle but strangely my period ceased on the 2nd day and I became feverish with severe tummy ache and my eyes became jaundiced. I have been sick since and I suspect its the lemon I have been consuming that made me sick because I prepare my meals myself(don t eat out) and I am very particular about the water I drink(purified water from a dispenser). Now, my question is; is consumption of lemon helpful or harmful?
