Hello, I am 18 years of age my period has always been irregular for as long as I can remember last year june 2014 I had my period and it disappeared for 8 or 9 months , I didn t get my period again until March to April consistently as of this year . General & Family Physician 's  Response
Thank you for sharing your query on Healthcaremagic, I have carefully worked through your case and you are experiencing a long or irregular menstrual cycle ( ovulation is either not occurring or occurring irregularly ) that's mean the natural conception can be more difficult caused by a lack of regular ovulation, but you are 18 years old and girls usually start having an hormonal imbalance. I advice you if the normal cycle is not coming in a few months kindly consult an specialist and get a complete physical and hormonal examination. I hope that my advice has been helpful, take care
Wishing you a good health
