Could Itching, Bruising And Headaches Be Due To Anemia?

I am anemic and have started iron tablets, but before I started and for the last 5 days I have extreme itchiness and I 'v developed many large painful bruising. Is this a part of anemia or culd this be something else. I also get explosive headaches. I've not felt well for 8 mos.

Hi,

Your doubt is right. Anaemia may be responsible for severe itching, echhymosis and headache. You consult dermatologist and physician for firm diagnosis. After thorough investigations, the cause of anaemia may be found and and accordingly treatment may be taken. If there is a need of blood transfusion, your doctor might say. Folic acid, iron and zinc may be taken orally. Improve nutrition and hygiene. You will be alright. I hope you got my answer.

Thanks.
