Could Itching Vagina With Discharge And Burning Sensation Be Yeast Infection?

I haven't had a yeast infection in years. Im 24. I noticed alittle vaginal discomfort/discharge for a few months now. But, besides that, I've taking doxycycline before and the symptoms are much worse. Im having itching/burning inside vagina, pain/discomfort outside vagina. Could it be yeast? I have white/milky discharge and light odor. I started monistat 7 day cream, and im getting alittle relief. Should i wait 6 more days to see if its cured? Cause, if its not cured in 7 days, its something more serious.
