Could Knee Pain Be Due To The Degenerative Disc And Stenosis?

I am scheduled for disc fusion in 12 days, degenerative disc and stenosis. I am 57 female. Last night I developed severe pain on the front of my knee when I pull my knee up to my chest it is relieved for a bit. I want to know if this could be from my back.
