Could Light Periods Indicate Pregnancy?

Hello,My partner and I are trying to get pregnant. We conceived 5 days before my expected period. I missed my period by 4 days and when it finally came it was only for 2 days. It was not like it normally is, it was lighter then it usually is. Can we be pregnant?

Hello dear
Understand your concern
Very less possibility of pregnancy as you did sexual intercourse in safe period of cycle. Again your period will come suggest there is no pregnancy because missed period is the definitive sign of pregnancy.
Following are the causes of light period:
Hormonal imbalance, thyroid disorder, contraceptive pill use, less estrogen, irregular dietary habit.
To diagnose above causes consult the gynecologist and do the hormonal assay like Estrogen , progesterone and thyroid hormone.
Take healthy diet and fruits regularly and do regular exercise.
Hope this may help you
Best regards
Dr. Sagar
