Could Lipitor Cause Stiff Hip, Pain In Joints And Muscles?

I have been having stiff hip joint pain and muscle pain and the same in both shoulders. Developed over the last four months. I am 70 and expect some lack of mobility, but this

is not normal for me unless both hip and shoulders went bad at the same time. Have been taking lipitor 20mg for 8 years. It is suspect. If the problem is caused by the drug, how long does it take to eliminate it as the culprit. I have been off it or any other statin for 6 weeks.
