Could Long Term Usage Of Clotrimazole Affect The Thyroid Function?

Can long-term twice a day use (over 1 year) of 2% clotrimazole cream topically to perineum and rectal fold affect thyroid function? Candida overgrowth in gut. History of Graves disease 7 years, on methimazole thyroid blocker only to control for 7 years, have now gone hypothyroid. Slowly withdrawing blocker. Stopped cream 2 days ago and now seeing some HYPER symptoms returning. Coincidence or does clotrimazole cream (vaginal tissues are thin) act as a thyroid blocker? Thank you.
