Could Loss Of Appetite, Headaches, Fatigue And Muscle Weakness Be Due To The Side Effects Of Metoprolol?

I had a couple of heart attacks on the 3rd of October, 2014. The following morning I had a stent installed in one of the coronary arteries on the left side of my heart. Since then, I ve been taking 25mg. of Metoprolol and 75mg. of Plavix each day. For some time now, I ve been experiencing daily side effects that have become unbearable. My cardiologist says to keep taking the pills, but I am fairly sure that the side effects are caused from the pills (mostly Metoprolol). I want to stop, but I m aware that stopping cold turkey might have serious consequences. The side effects that seem to be getting worse include: Upset stomach and pain, loss of appetite, headaches, tightening of my jaw muscles, sweats, dizziness and disorientation, extreme fatigue, weakness, etc. Please help me to know what to do. Thanks.

Hello thank you for asking the question.
You are taking metoprolol drug. It is beta blocker drug used for treatment of hypertension with heart attack. So my first advice is don't stop this drug without consultation of your doctor.
Regarding your query about side effect of metoprolol. The side effects are dizziness, tiredness, blurred vision, chest discomfort, irregular heartbeat, light headedness etc.
Consult doctor and follow advice of doctor regarding change in dose or drug.
