Could Lower Abdominal Pain And Discharge Of White Tissue Be Miscarriage?

I went to the bathroom. In the toilet i noticed a white tissue-looking substance with red whispy edges. There was also a blood-clot looking red ball. Could this have been a miscarriage. I have no pain, some lower abdominal pain. I am 34 yrs old. I am pretty scared.
