Could Lump On Roof Of Mouth Be Due To Diagnosed Sinus Infection?

I have a lump on the roof of my mouth. It started out a small sore spot now it's bigger. I went to the emergency room on yesterday because of my sinuses and was told that I had a sinus infection. I was given antibiotics but the lump still hurts. Is this caused by my sinus infection or something else.
