Could Meth Addiction Cause Osteoarthritus, Degenrative Disc Disease, And Fibromyalgia?
I am writting a paper for college on the effects of meth on a person's body and mind. I am a 46 and 5'4 who 24 years ago was a meth user. I have osteoarthritus, degenrative disc disease, and fibromyalgia. I am pretty sure meth has quite a bit to do with my medical conditions, but would liek a professional opinion. Can you help me? Thanks
That's a bit of a stretch. Amphetamine and stress hormones do not directly hit bones. They don't even have that much of an effect on the perception of pain. Narcotics/opiates would change pain perception and connection to fibromyalgia seems likely. The lifestyle of a drug addict CAN be very stressful on the body and can affect joints and bones.
