Hello,

Jaw tightening may be indicative of TMJ or bruxism. However, it can also happen due to poor sleep, stress or anxiety. Burning sensation in the chest, nausea, and pain commonly occur due to acid reflux or GERD. Avoid taking oily, spicy food. Taking antacids or PPIs will give relief. Taking muscle relaxants will be helpful. Avoid stress, both physical and emotional. Maintain good posture while sitting, walking or sleeping to avoid muscular pain.

Yes, symptoms of weakness, nausea, “whoosh” feeling, jaw and muscle tension are indicative of anxiety since your chest X-ray and other tests are clear. However, you are advised to get clinically examined to rule out any pathology that may be causing you symptoms and discomfort. You will be treated accordingly. Stay relaxed and take food in time. Get quality sleep of at least 8 hours.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
