Could My High Mono Auto Levels Be Related To Carbon Monoxide Exposure?
I was exposed to carbon monoxide on 1/24 i still have same issues. Dizzy, lightheaded, confusion, vertigo, extremely tired all the time, to name a few. My question is after getting my records thru a request. My mono auto was extremely high. Could this be due to exposure? Was not given oxygen and records show not even a test for Co poisoning. Im just curious. Thank you
The lack of early intervention is concerning. High monocytes might reflect your body's delayed immune response to the toxin, especially if the exposure was moderate to severe and untreated. Get clinically examined by a toxicologist and get an MRI or neurological testing done if brain fog or vertigo continues. If required, oxygen therapy evaluation, basic metabolic panel test, etc., will be recommended.
Indirect effects may cause high monocytes linked to inflammation caused by CO poisoning, as you were not even given oxygen then. Since you are having persistent symptoms, you deserve a thorough medical follow-up. Get evaluated and get treated at the earliest.
I hope you found this answer helpful and I that have answered your question. Take care.
