Could My Hormonal Imbalance, Past Yeast Infections, Vaginal Dryness, And Bumps On My Buttocks Be Related?

Hello Please I’ve had issues or abnormal bleeding as a result of hormonal imbalance, and also treated yeast infections. I’m sexually active and haven’t had any child. I’m 19 years old. But my boyfriend always complain I’m not tight and I also experience this vaginal dryness. Currently have numbs on my butt cheeks and don’t know if it’s still the infection that is the problem.

Hello,

Hormonal changes makes the skin more prone to irritation and recurrent yeast infections. Hormones affect natural lubrication, vaginal tissue thickness, and elasticity. Low estrogen can occur due to natural imbalance, birth control, or other causes. Low estrogen also causes vaginal dryness and a feeling of “looseness” or less tone. Keep yourself well hydrated.

Past infection and dryness can affects sex and lead to skin irritation. Get a full gynecological check-up done. Get hormone tests, pelvic exam, STI screening done. Apply clotrimazole ointment on your bump cheeks, it will help to get rid of fungal infection. If it is persistent, get your partner also tested.

Strengthen pelvic floor muscles by doing Kegel exercises. Avoid use of irritants like scented soaps and do not wear tight non-breathable clothing. Some of your symptoms can be related to the underlying hormonal, skin, or infection issues but all don’t point to the same single cause.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
