Could My Lightheadedness, Nausea, Spotting, Vomiting, Fever, And Chills Be Early Pregnancy Signs?
Why have I been feeling light headed, nauseous, light pinkish spotting, throwing up, fever, chills for a few days? Could I be pregnant (would be less than 2.5 weeks since I only got married that long ago and was not sexually active before that? Is it possible I could have caught something else, I work with young children, 2-6 years old?

Yes, pregnancy is possible. Since you have fever and chills and you have been working with children, it increases exposure to viruses. An infection (viral or bacterial) is a stronger possibility. Take rest, keep yourself adequately hydrated and eat light. Since you’re newly sexually active, it can be honeymoon cystitis (urinary tract infection after first sexual activity.
Viral/bacterial infections picked up during travel, exhaustion, or stress around a honeymoon. Since you are having symptoms of nausea and vomiting, along with light spotting, conception cannot be ruled out. Light spotting can be implantation bleeding. If conception occurred right away after first sexual intercourse, implantation can just be happening now.
You are advised to take a home pregnancy test. Since it’s still too early, repeat in a week if your period hasn’t come. If pregnancy test is positive, get clinically examined by a gynecologist. However, if fever continues you are advised to get clinically examined by a GP and do Urinalysis (R/E and C/S).and required tests. You will be treated accordingly.
