Hello,

You have been taking Clomiphene, and it can delay your cycle and cause sore breasts. However, since you are trying to conceive and are taking clomiphene, this could be pregnancy, since you’re late. Sore breasts starting 2 weeks ago could mean a rise in progesterone after ovulation, or it could be an early pregnancy sign. Day 40 without a period is considered late in most cycles, so you are advised to take a home urine pregnancy test, preferably first morning urine for best accuracy.

If negative but still no period, repeat in 3–4 days. If it is still negative and there is no period by day 45–50, then you are advised to get clinically examined by your gynecologist. Your gynecologist will recommend you get a blood test (beta-hCG) done. You should also do USG to confirm pregnancy.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
