Could My Persistent Central Chest Pain Triggered By Sneezing And Movement Be A Muscle Strain?
5 days ago while heading to the gym I got out of my car and felt a sudden pain in the center of my chest upon standing up. The pain persisted for less than a minute and during this time breathing was slightly more difficult. It was a dull pain , 7/10. While in the gym I noticed that during certain movements the pain would return but at a much less intense 2/10 . That night and the following night I found myself sneezing alot and my chest would hurt each time with varying levels of pain between 2 &7. I had been to the gym 3 days prior to the onset of the chest pain so I thought this might be a strain of some sort.however at night when its cold there is a sensation similar to wheezing. I have remained at home since then and have done no excersize however the pain returns with the occasional sneeze. Is this just a muscle strain, or could it be more serious ?should I get tested for covid? The pain is only in the center of my chest about 2cm to the left of my sternum. There is no swelling or redness, nor is there any pain when pressing on the area. I didn t notice any strain while in gym and none of the other symptoms of Covid or the flu have shown up, not even congestion . I m unable to replicate the pain on my own but occasionally when moving around I feel it and it happens everytime I sneeze
