Could Neck Pain, Tingling In Arms And Headache Be Related To Back Problem?

I have some back issues and receive epidural spinal injections - however, the symptoms seem to be getting worse - now I have neck pain, frequent tingling in my arms and legs as well as a headache at least 4 -5 days a week. Could all of this be due to my back issues or should the doctors be looking for something else?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It can be post spinal anaesthesia however the other causes should be ruled out like spinal spondylosis and may need CT or MRI cervical spine. Also OTC analgesic like acetaminophen or ibuprofen alongside Gabapentin may be needed. Neurological examination of upper arm and neurologist or neurosurgical review may be needed after radiographic evaluation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
