Could Outbreak Of Rashes Be Due To The Side Effect Of Anaesthesia?
Yesterday I have a colonoscopy.I have been ok till tonight,I have a rash or hives from my ears to my legs,my tongue feel heavy and I have a slight pain in the middle of my check, between my breasts. Can this be a reaction to the anesthetics or drugs used on the colonoscopy, even though it has c been more than 24 hours?
yes this can be a delayed skin reaction/ skin allergy. If you were my patient i'd recommend trying antihistaminic medication like loratadine or cetirizine first. Normally this will get better within a few days since the causing substance is not given anymore. Hope this is helping you , if you have any clarificatons you can get back to me, if this was helpful please kindly rate my answer.
Best regards
