Could Painful/swollen Fingers Be Due To Blockages In Arteries Or Veins?

my mother is 71 years old have very painfull,swelling and now dark fingers, we have tried everything in no avail, some doctors say her veins and arteries are blocked, she was a snuff smoker for a long time,the pain is killing her she cannot sleep and the same conditions is attaching another foot now.please help!

Yes, this may have been related to vessels occlusion and smoking is a risk factor for it as well as obesity and diabetes. Also, there is a disease called Burgers disease which affects smokers and may manifest with similar symptoms. He should see vascular surgeon for further treatment. Till that, I recommend to take Asirin 100 and reduce smoking.
