Could Penile Erection Be Achieved By Quitting Smoking?
My husband & I have been married for 42 years now. He was a very heavy smoker & it caused him to have reduced blood flow in his legs & lower half of his body. It used to cause him to not be able to keep an erection. This became so much of a problem to both of us. I love him dearly but we have not made love for 20 years now. He has now stopped smoking for 5 years. Do you think the blood flow might have improved. I don t want to face the disappointment for both of us again if we try & it happens again.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Erectile dysfunction is best treated with the medication Viagra (sildenafil). This is very likely to improve your erection quality and duration. I would talk with a local doctor about prescribing this to you.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
