Could Persistent Tennis Elbow Be A Cause For Concern?
I have a big bulge on my right elbow what I think they call Tennis elbow. I have had it for two weeks. Previously when I have had it, with an elbow brace, it has gone away in a week but this time it has not gone away in two weeks. should i be concerned. no real pain
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. Tennis elbow is a common condition caused by overuse of arm, forearm, and hand muscles that results in elbow pain. It is due to injury of the muscle and tendon area around the outside of the elbow. It takes about 4 to 6 weeks to heal completely by use of analgesic medications, supportive treatments like use of elbow brace, physiotherapy treatment and muscle strengthening exercise. In case it recurs frequently, you may need steroid injection to be taken directly at the site so that it would give you better relief and less chances of recurring. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
